Andrea Zinn
Andrea Zinn served as Victor Vision's Director of Development from 2015-2021, and joined the Board of Directors in 2019. Andrea first visited Victor's Vision in 2012, and was immediately convinced by the successful, holistic program model and bright young students she met in Chulucanas. During her work with the program, Andrea has run Victor's Vision's intern program, created a variety of new fundraising initiatives, liaised between the program activities and the board, and strengthened partnerships and fundraising models.
Andrea was a 2014 Fulbright Grantee through which she taught and facilitated learning programs at a primary school in Kuala Rompin, Malaysia. She is passionate about education equality and cultural exchange, and has also volunteered with youth education through a variety of programs.
Currently, Andrea holds a dual position as the Global Coordinator of the Council on Smallholder Agricultural Finance (CSAF) and Project Developer of Aceli Americas for Aceli Africa. As the Global Coordinator of CSAF, Andrea convenes socially responsible lenders facilitating agriculture finance, mainly in the coffee sector, to strengthen cooperatives and agribusinesses that improve livelihoods for smallholder farmers worldwide. Through her role with Aceli Africa, Andrea leads the adaptation and application of the Aceli Africa model in Latin America - mobilizing private sector capital to underserved, high-impact agricultural SMEs with positive social and environmental impact.
Prior to her current roles, Andrea consulted on various projects focused in sustainably-sourced agricultural value chains, funded by USAID, GIZ, the Inter-American Development Bank, and UN Agencies including IFAD, the European Commission, and the International Trade Centre. Andrea holds a B.B.A. from the Villanova University School of Business and an MSc in Sustainable Development from the SOAS University of London. She is based in San Jose, Costa Rica.
