Academic ClassesBeginning in the 4th grade, and continuing through secondary school, Victor's Vision students receive three extra hours of schooling per day, five days a week. With an average student teacher ratio of just 9:1. Victor's Vision teachers are able to focus on the individual needs of their students in all core subject areas: math, communication arts, and science. Victor's Vision university certified teachers also provide character development support to their students, ensuring that all Victor's Vision students grow up to be well-rounded individuals.

Social Emotional LearningGrowing up in poverty, Victor's Vision students have often experienced a tremendous amount of trauma in their early years. To support the social emotional needs of our students, our small class sizes allow all students to be mentored by their Victor's Vision teachers. Additionally, all students participate in regular social emotional learning classes and workshops executed by the program's psychologist.

NutritionSince many Victor's Vision students enter the program malnourished, we provide every student with an extra meal every day they attend Victor's Vision programming. Each meal provided is well balanced including the proper dietary nutrients necessary for a child to develop both physically and mentally. By providing our students with extra meals, we hope to ensure that all Victor's Vision students are healthy learners.

Parent WorkshopsVictor's Vision understands that real change and growth for students begins in the home. Without the proper familial support and guidance, children in Chulucanas often drop out of school before the 6th grade. Through monthly parent workshops and regular home visits, Victor's Vision gives its families a constructive environment to learn about the value of long-term education and discuss relevant issues in their lives.

Field TripsVictor's Vision students participate in one exploratory field trip to various cities throughout Peru each year. These trips give students the opportunity to explore outside of their community, broadening their worldly perspectives and increasing their potential to dream of a lifestyle different than what they have seen in their own neighborhood. On these trips, students explore new cities, museums, universities, and engage in experiences they otherwise may not have.
